Facade Lighting Control & System Architecture
SHLED facade projects use different control architectures according to whether the application is architectural lighting, media display, a single building or a multi-building network. The control system is engineered together with power distribution, addressing, signal distance and maintenance strategy.
Control architecture by application
Architectural Lighting / MR Platform
For point lights, linear lights, wall washers and other DMX systems, SHLED project documentation supports MR-based online and offline control, DMX512-A, RDM-enabled diagnostics, addressing and distributed project control.
Media Display / Nova Platform
For LED media systems, Nova ViPlex can support synchronous or asynchronous content publishing, regular and ultra-long screens, schedules, terminal control and network-based content management.
MR internet-linked control topology
The uploaded MR internet-linked system documentation describes a three-layer architecture of control terminal, node terminal and server. Nodes can connect through fiber, broadband or 4G, while the server bridges central control and building nodes and monitors node connection status.
MR project functions documented in the current control package
Remote & grouped control
Centralized control can manage individual buildings, groups of buildings or overall linked playback through authorized network access.
Schedules & local playback
Node systems support timed scene playback; project programs can also be generated for SD-card offline playback where required.
RDM diagnostics
MR documentation supports standard DMX512-A and RDM device discovery, current / voltage / temperature / operating-time monitoring, UID-based address changes and static or real-time diagnostics.
System integration
RS232/485, UDP and TCP/IP interfaces can be used for project integration with other systems such as searchlights, fountains or broader smart-city platforms.
Project programming workflow
| Step | Documented workflow |
|---|---|
| Layout | Import CAD layouts for irregular projects or create regular pixel layouts in controller software. |
| Routing | Assign controllers and output routes; automatic routing is available for regular layouts. |
| Fixture parameters | Configure RGB / RGBW channels, fixture chip, port channels and clock parameters as required. |
| Addressing | Write DMX addresses / hardware parameters and verify controller connections. |
| Content | Import video or animation, preview, save and play through the online system. |
| Offline | Generate offline files and load them to SD media for local playback where required. |
Nova media-control functions
The uploaded ViPlex documentation supports synchronous and asynchronous workflows, regular-screen and ultra-long-screen solutions, scheduled playback, Ethernet / LAN / Wi-Fi terminal connections, brightness adjustment, time synchronization, screen status control, scheduled restart, scheduled power control and terminal management.
Project documentation available
Wiring diagrams
Current files include DMX point-light, linear-light, wall-washer, 48V sub-control-box and mesh-screen wiring diagrams.
Address-writing guides
Operation videos are available for linear lights, wall washers, flood lights, point lights and XT46 video light strips.
Operation manuals
MR controller software, master-controller operation and Nova ViPlex documentation are maintained as project-support references.
Fault handling
A common project fault-handling manual is maintained for commissioning and after-sales support; service documentation should be distributed according to project need.
MR and Nova are integrated controller ecosystems used within SHLED project solutions. Final controller models, network topology, software mode and protocol configuration are project-specific and should be confirmed in the system drawing.
