Quality & Reliability Validation

SHLED uses product, material and environmental testing to reduce reliability risk in facade lighting systems. Validation should always be matched to the actual product model, installation environment and project requirement.

Current testing capability

SHLED testing equipment list 2025
Test area Purpose in facade lighting
Thermal shock / temperature Evaluate component and material behavior across outdoor temperature cycles
Temperature & humidity Assess operation under hot, cold and humid conditions
Waterproof / IP Verify sealing, enclosure and connection performance
Salt spray Assess corrosion resistance for coastal and humid environments
UV weathering Evaluate long-term outdoor material aging
Flame retardant Validate relevant raw-material behavior
Tension / mechanical Check cable and connection robustness
Integrating sphere Measure optical and color characteristics

Project-specific validation

For a large facade project, SHLED should define the validation matrix around the actual temperature range, water exposure, UV, corrosion, mechanical loads, cable tension, electrical architecture, surge environment and maintenance strategy.
