High-Rise Linear Facade Installation Guide

Continuous facade lighting on high-rise buildings is primarily an installation and system-engineering challenge. Small mechanical or electrical inconsistencies become highly visible when repeated across hundreds of meters.

Five issues to solve before procurement

1. Dark gaps

Check end-to-end optical continuity and establish a precise installation reference line before fixing fixtures.

2. Building-angle changes

Use adjustable brackets or project-specific mounting details where elevations change direction.

3. Voltage drop

For long runs, a higher-voltage low-voltage architecture such as 48V can reduce current and cable loss compared with lower-voltage systems.

4. Waterproof connection

Ingress protection depends on connectors, cable entries, drainage and field installation—not the fixture IP label alone.

5. Service access

Plan how technicians will reach fixtures, junctions and control equipment after the facade is complete.

48V and long-distance power

SHLED's current XT20 public material uses a 48V design with an intelligent centralized control box and reports a single-end power distance of up to 70 m for that specific system configuration. This should be treated as a model-specific reference, not a universal distance guarantee.
