Project challenge
The building was occupied and was not a conventional glass-curtain-wall facade. A heavy cabinet display would have increased structural burden and reduced daylight and outward visibility.
Engineering response
A secondary steel-frame structure was installed outside the existing facade so the media layer remained separated from the occupied building.
