Tokyo P100 Media Facade
Tokyo, Japan — a building media facade using SHLED's P100 E18 LED mesh platform.
What the public project reference confirms
SHLED's current public media-facade portfolio identifies this Tokyo project as an E18 installation using P100 pixel pitch. Project-specific facade area, brightness and control configuration are not currently published, so they are not presented here as project facts.

Why coarse pitch can work at architectural scale
Viewing distance first
A facade viewed from far away does not require the same pixel density as an indoor screen. Pitch should follow the real viewing zone.
Higher transparency
P100 keeps the facade visually open during the day while still creating a unified media effect from the intended distance.
Lower structural burden
A lightweight open-grid system can reduce the load and visual bulk associated with conventional LED cabinets.
Lower system complexity
Fewer pixels can reduce channel count, power demand and maintenance points when fine resolution would not create visible value.

Architect's Media Facade Guide
The Tokyo reference illustrates an important media-facade principle: the correct pitch is the pitch that fits the building and viewing distance—not simply the smallest pitch available.
